Meet Our Founder
Hamish Day, the general contractor leading H Day Construction, began his journey in Hawaii. He moved to the islands to start a career in the construction industry, focusing on remodeling historic plantation houses. This work gave him a vision: to maintain traditional architecture while addressing its structural challenges.
With experience in all areas of construction, Hamish developed a deep understanding of the industry. He further honed his skills working for a large glass installation company, where he led a big crew and learned the challenges of procurement in the construction business on Maui. These roles helped him gain valuable insights and expertise in high-quality construction.
Driven by his passion for building, Hamish started H Day Construction to bring his vision to life. His company is dedicated to quality, efficiency, and honesty, creating beautiful, durable homes that respect the Maui environment and community.
